On Friday, September 7th Bozeman Public School First Grade Students will receive a copy of Oswald, an American Osprey, by local author Carol Hemingway. We hope that Oswald, an American Osprey will be a stepping stone in helping children learn about the impact that we all have on our environment.

About the author:

Carol Hemingway has spent many years observing osprey family life both in Flordia and Montana, where an osprey couple faithfully maintains a nest and rear their young near the Hemingway house on the Missouri River. Carol Hemingway has followed a career in the theatre as a playwright and director, as well as Chairman of Theatre at C.C.N.Y. Her adapation for the stage of Hemingway short stories, It Just Chatches, was produced in 1999-2000 by Montana Rep of Missoula.

About the artist:

R. Tom Gilleon lives with his family on their ranch near Cascade, Montana. He has worked as an illustrator for NASA's Apollo Program, Walt Disney's Imagineering, and major motion picture studios. Beyond his commercial work, he spends much of his time painting in oil and watercolor.
