About Bozeman Schools Foundation

The Bozeman Schools Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and expanding Bozeman's commitment to excellence in public education.

Mission:

The Bozeman Schools Foundation provides resources to inspire learning, enrich teaching and create opportunities for district students through community support.

Goals:

  • Promoting and celebrating student academic success
  • Increasing the visibility and value of Bozeman Public Schools
  • Inspiring parents, business and the community to participate with the school district by enriching education

Bozeman School Foundation, Making a difference:

  • Funded $106,000 in  84 Spark Grants enabling students, teachers and staff to explore creative and innovative projects in and out of the classroom
  • Donated $24, 543 in books to 4,100 first grade students
  • Awarded $130, 750 in scholarships in May of 2009, 2010 and 2011 to 132 graduating Bozeman High School seniors
  • Purchased $33, 792 in musical instruments
  • Utilized 72 volunteers and partnered with 60 business sponsors
  • Honored 152 amazing educators

Programs and Activities

Spark Grant Program

The Spark grant program gives teachers and staff the opportunity to implement creative and innovative programs which would not otherwise be funded.

Links to Literacy

In September every first grade student, teacher and librarian receives a free copy of a children's book along with a pamphlet emphasizing the important role of parents in the early literacy process and outlining suggestions for reading out loud to their child.

Bozeman School Foundation Scholarships and Worthy Student Scholarship Fund

The BSF works together with families and individuals to establish scholarships for graduating high school seniors, as well as, students in school for select programs.

Excellence in Education Celebration

The Excellence in Education banquet recognizes outstanding students and educators in our community.
