Eligibility Requirements
- Full or part time teachers
- School support staff
- Administrators
- Fundraising organizations within the school (ie PACS, or school clubs)
Note:
- An applicant is not limited to one application
- If a grant recipient transfers within the district during the grant period, the funding may travel with the teacher but if the grant recipient leaves the District, the funds must remain with the school or returned to the Foundation
Project Summary
- Proposal clearly identifies who the project will reach
- Proposal clearly describes project activities and how they are organized to achieve learning objectives
- Project identifies a need
- Project relates to the learning and growth of students and teachers or school groups
Goals
- Project goals are clearly defined and measurable where appropriate
- The project exemplifies the goals of the BSF grant project
Creativity and Innovation
- There is an extension of student learning beyond classroom
- Activities will provide students with access to new experiences, ideas, people, and or place
Collaboration
- Project demonstrates the capacity for parent or community involvement
Sustainability
- Project has the capacity to be replicated
- Project activities and or outcomes will last beyond grant year
Curriculum
- Project identifies content area describes how it relates to existing school curriculum
Timeline
- The project can realistically be accomplished in one year
- The timeline provided has realistic dates that are obtainable and are linked to the activities
Budget
- The items referenced and the corresponding amounts are appropriate
- If the project will require additional funding, are the sources provided for or realistic?
Evaluation
- The element being evaluated (i.e. student achievement, student behavior) is clearly identified
- Project includes a specific plan to share with the BSF the outcomes, results, the new ideas and the effective practices from the projects
Grant funds MAY be used for the following purposes:
What We CANNOT Fund:
- Food for events
- Monetary awards to students or others
- District required textbooks and materials
- Projects that are intended to create a non profit or for profit venture
- Workshop or professional development fees that do not directly relate to students and clasroom project.
- Reimbursement for previously incurred expenses
- Substitute teachers
- Individual student scholarships for summer travel
Note: Equipment and other materials purchased with grant funds become the property of the Bozeman School District.
